Bedside Table Products

I keep some of my most loved products in my bedside table, and I suspect I'm not the only one. What can be better than grabbing for some of your most loved and luxurious products before going to sleep? Or maybe this is just the beauty blogger in me???

I always apply hand cream before sleeping and have a pile of hand creams in my bedside table. Some are small tubes of hand cream that I grab and throw into my handbag before leaving the house. Others are larger, more handbag unfriendly, tubes like the L'Occitane Shea Butter Handcream. This hand cream does come in a smaller handbag friendly version, but because I love it so much I opted for the bigger size! I want to call this hand cream your "basic luxurious hand cream" but I feel like that downplays how amazing this hand cream is, and how much I love it. This does everything you want a hand cream to do; it moisturises your hands, sinks in quickly, doesn't leave any residue and smells lovely (it's a subtle scent and I think 99.99% of people would like it.)

That rather massive tub you see is the Jergen's Deep-Conditioning Shea Butter Rich Body Cream.  This is a lovely rich body cream that is absorbs quickly, doesn't leave any residue and is non-greasy and unlike most body creams I find that this product can double as a hand cream. I typically find body creams to be too thick and very slow to sink in but not this one - this one sinks in so quickly that you can easily use it as a hand cream. It is obviously also a really good body cream. It smells lovely. I am completely hopeless at describing scents but I would describe it as a warm scent and perhaps a bit nutty?

A superstar lip balm that every beauty blogger and their dog raves about is the Nuxe Reve de Miel Baume Levres Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm. When my lips are extremely dry, chapped, or flaky I reach for this. This is a very luxurious lip balm that feels amazing on the lips and has a lovely matte formula. Before sleeping I will occasionally slather my lips with this and when I wake up it is like I have new lips! It's very long lasting. If you apply it before sleeping, when you wake up it will still be moisturising your lips. I love this balm however there is one thing I don't like about it...the tub packaging. I would never use when I was out and about, on public transport...etc. But it's fine if you just want to keep it at home.

Now onto the lip balms! Nivea's 'Essential Care' lip balm is an old favourite. It is a very decent lip balm. However, even though I have been using it for over 10 years, I think Nivea's new release, the Olive and Lemon Pure & Natural Lip Balm, might be even better. It is amazing! I swear it helps to heal my chapped and flaky lips.

A recent purchase is a Lipsmacker in Salted Caramel. This smells absolutely divine, exactly like salted caramel (funny that, hey?) without smelling too artificial. I am a huge lover of products scented like food, so relaxing and just pure happiness!

Do you have any special products that you keep in/on your bedside table?

Thanks for reading :)

  1. I have something from each category that you have! Haha. I love the Nuxe lip balm, it did take a while for me to get use to the texture and finish of it. I have a Lush moisturiser and Lanolips hand cream. I put my products in the drawer so the top doesn't look too messy and then I forget to use them! XD

  2. I've always wanted to try a hand cream from Lanolips but haven't yet. I throw everything in my drawer too, it is a very messy drawer but at least nobody can see all the mess! :) Enjoy the long weekend!
