The Lip Product Addict Tag

The lip product addict - basically sums me up in three words! I am absolutely hopeless at tags because I always have to include more than one product for each question!!! So settle in, grab a cup of tea and a biscuit (or two) and have a read. If you would like to do this tag please consider yourself tagged and don't forget to leave a link to your blog once you have completed it. I would love to read your answers!!! 

1.  Favourite Balm/Treatment

I have two favourite lip balms but only own one of them at the moment. So that is the one I will talk about! The Nivea 'Essential Care' lip balm has been in life for a very, very long time. I remember this balm from my childhood, so let's face it. If you keep returning to a product for more than 10 years...it must be good. It's a nice thick creamy balm that really does moisturise your lips and the best thing is that it sticks around for a really long time. I hate balms this disappear an hour after you apply them. My other favourite is the Yes to Carrots lip balm in melon. 

2. Best Eye Catching Red

I'm not a lover of red lips. Or any bold lip to be honest. They look stunning on other people but not on me. With that said my eye catching red isn't very eye-catching... My two favourite red lips are: Face of Australia's Sheer Gloss Lip  Crayon in 'Macaron' which is essentially a nicely pigmented sheer red balm. I also love Maybelline's 'Gleaming Grenadine' gloss. If you love a bold red lip I would recommend Bourjois' Color Boost crayon in 'Red Sunshine'. 

3. Best Luxury and Best Drugstore

I only own two luxury products and they probably don't even seem luxury to other people! I definitely do want to start buying more luxury branded products but the jump in price scares me. Especially when there are some amazing products in the drugstore. Plus, not everything in the drugstore is cheap! Anyway, rant over...my favourite expensive drugstore lip product is L'oreals Colour Riche Nutrishine in 'Sandalwood Beige'. My favourite luxury is the Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in 'Curviest Caramel'. I haven't even had this product in my possession for more than 24 hours I feel a bit weird including it in the post but I have already worn it more than my other luxury brand lip product. Can I include a discontinued product for my favourite cheap drugstore lip product? If I can...I'm going with Essence's Stay with me long lasting lip gloss in 'Deep Rose' and if I can't use a discontinued product (because lets face it, that's a bit cruel of me!) I will go with Face of Australia's Lasting Looks Lip Creme in 'Many Moons'. 

4. Best MAC Lipstick

I don't own any Mac lipsticks :o Can you believe it?! I have had my eye on 'Modesty' for awhile though and I expect I may cave in soon :) 

5. The Most Disappointing

There have been plenty if lip products I have read rave reviews about, only to be disappointed by when I get them on my own lips. Or, too many times, have I gone to the shops and been disappointed in the colour selection available. I'm just not into bold lips and that really limits me. This is one of those occasions. I think it was last year, everybody was praising the Rimmel London Apocalip Lip Laquers. As soon as they made their way to Australia (which took forever, naturally) I brought the shade ' Celestial'. Out of all the colours available I thought it would be the shade I would be most likely to wear. But I have never worn it out of the house. Not once! Shameful I know. 

6. Liner - Yes or No?

Nope. Too lazy! 

7. Best Gloss

I think that a good gloss is an essential item in one's beauty arsenal. Whether you are having a 'natural' look day, or going all out, there is a place for a gloss in your look. I am in the middle of writing up my thesis on it is fair to say all I have been doing is the 'natural' look. Bit of foundation and some gloss and I am running out the door in the mornings. At the moment I am loving the Maybelline Elixir glosses. They have great pigmentation and lasting power (essentially considering they are a gloss) and give a really nice shine to the lips. Even after the colour has worn off your lips still look smooth and have a subtle shine.'Nude Illusion' is a brilliant nude. There is no hint of pink in it at all but it doesn't make you look dead, like some nudes do! I have been loving it for the days when I really don't have time to care what I look like. 'Caramel Infused' is a pigmented version of MLBB which I absolutely adore. 

8. Something Extra

How about three something extras? I have to mention an old favourite, especially considering I have never fully reviewed it on the blog. I probably should get around to that...I am talking about the Covergirl lip perfection jumbo gloss balm in 'Mauve Twist'. I'm also going to give a shout out to Nyx's Butter Gloss in 'Creme Brulee'. I haven't worn this gloss for a couple of months but since doing this tag I am falling head over heels in love with it again. If you have super dry and chapped lips this is absolutely perfect. Plus it smells like cupcakes! Yummy. And another Nyx product, the Mega Shine Lip Gloss in 'Beige' is not actually beige but is a beautiful natural pink colour. It is a super long lasting lipgloss. It is a bit sticky though!

The Beauty Scenario Tag

This tag has been sitting in my drafts folder for months. I can't remember where it came from but anyway, here goes...

You have to get rid of all your foundations, and only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?

I don't have any "high end" foundations and my holy grail foundation is from the drugstore so I would be keeping Revlon's Colorstay Whipped Creme foundation. Yes it's in a glass jar which is not as convenient as a pump but I can overlook that because:
a) it has great staying power
b) it's so easy to apply I can even apply it in my morning "zombie" mode without looking like a 2 year old has done my make-up, and
c) it has good coverage.

You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?

I would ignore it completely but feel embarrassed I didn't tell her. I'm a very shy person so there are not many circumstances when I would tell somebody they had lippy on their teeth. Probably only if I was out with my Mum or best friend.

You're not feeling yourself and you need a pick me up lipstick, which one do you go for?

This is such a great question! I think it would be Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balm crayon on Mauve Twist because it always looks good!

You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?

Number one, blue eyeshadow is.not.cool and number two, I would actually do my hair and makeup! Lol.

You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length pixie lott hair cut but they hear you wrong and give you a pixie hair cut. Do you a) smile, say thank you, leave, call your mum and cry hysterically b) cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) complain to the manager and demand a refund.

I don't even want to think about it!  

Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which 'do it all' palette do you pack in your makeup bag?

I'm not really a "palette" person to be honest. I hate lip palettes but eye shadow palettes do occasionally draw me in. For the eyes it would have to be my Chi Chi Nudes palette - the quality and colours are fantastic and apparently it is a good dupe for a Naked palette.

Your house has been robbed, don't worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What's the product you really hope is safe?

Most of the products I buy are "drugstore" and unlike lots of other lucky bloggers I don't have many limited edition products. So what it probably comes down to is my foundation (because I pretty much never go out without foundation) and my Benefit So Hooked on Carmella perfume.

Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) just pretend you haven't noticed b) ask them to repurchase it or c) secretly do the same to something of theirs

I would probably do 'a' and resent and steam about it inside.

You can only take one product into the jungle. What item would you choose and why?

Nivea Moisturising Sunscreen SPF 50 because I think the key to good skin is to look after it in the first place. 

What would be your main pre-jungle worry?

Snakes :'( I don't know what it is about snakes but they creep me out soooooo much!!! 

You only have 5 minutes to get ready before going into the jungle, what would be your quick beauty routine?

A very messy bun...on the back of my head. Ummm, yeah...errr not exactly how to describe it. And no it's not fashionably messy...it's just plain messy! Hahaha

For moral support, which female celebrity would you like to be in the jungle with you?

From the show? Since I don't watch I'm a celebrity get me out of here I'm going to go general...Adele. I absolutely love Adele's music and think she is an amazing person.

Everyone's given a role in the camp. What lifestyle skill would you bring to the jungle with you?

I'm a pretty organised and neat person so maybe I could help organise everything?

What one thing about being a beauty blogger sometimes makes you want to scream 'Get me out of here'?

Photos! No matter what I do I feel like my photos are sub-standard. So frustrating. 

Challenge - this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. You're up for a trial to face your fears or try something new, what would you choose to do and why?

I would love to jump with a parachute and every time some camp mates are jumping from a helicopter at the beginning of the series I am extremely jealous and vow to myself that I will try to do it next year.

Blogmas - The Christmas Tag 2013

Can you believe it is December?!!! Unlike most years when it takes me two or three weeks into December to truly appreciate the season I'm going to jump onto the Christmas band-wagon early this year :) Sooo...I'm doing "blogmas" this year. Wondering what blogmas is? Basically, it means that I'm going to be posting everyday before Christmas. Let me know if you're doing blogmas too! 

I love Christmas time, the catching up with family and friends, the food, the decorations, the don't forget the smell of fresh Christmas trees. Probably the only I don't love about the festive season is trying to find a car park and the crowds at the shops! I stumbled across this tag on Fee's blog (http://www.makeupsavvy.co.uk/). 1.  Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic?

I love real Christmas trees and always try to have one although sadly the past couple of years I've had to make do with fake trees. Think I'll be getting a real tree this year, yay!!! There is something really heart warming about having a real tree, with lights on twinkling away...  

2.  You're in a coffee shop, it's December, what do you pick?

Hmmm, I've never really gone out my way to drink any special Christmas concoction but that might change this year as I have been stepping out of my comfort zone (ever so slightly). 

3.  Whats your favourite colour scheme for decorating the tree?

Silver and Navy,I am a fan of the more traditional colour schemes and cringe when I say the colorful hot pink, lime and aqua decorations. Very boring, aren't I? 

4.  Giving or receiving?

I absolutely love finding the perfect present for my family members and friends but I must confess I sometimes find it frustrating when I am trying to find the perfect gift. And I stress about whether people will actually like my gifts, but nonetheless it's all good. And ofcourse, who doesn't like receiving a a gift...?

5.  To mince pie or not to?

I don't think I've ever had a mince pie, maybe I should try one? :)

6.  What's your traditional Sunday lunch?

It depends where I am on Christmas day. Usually there is a roast pork (crackling...yummy!!!) , some roast lamb, roasted vegies, pudding and custard and goodness knows what else. It's mind boggling really. 

7.  Christmas day fashion?

I usually dress up on Christmas day as lets face it...I don't mind having a valid excuse to wear a pretty dress. Oh, and I also see both sides of the family so I have to make myself presentable...don't I? :) 

8.  What's your favourite Christmas song?

'Last Christmas' is definitely one of my absolute favourites. Every man and his dog has covered it but since I am a huge Savage Garden fan I quite like their version...

Okay I guess I should stop rambling and answer the questions............

1. What is your favourite make up brand? 
This is a tough one! I guess I would say Revlon because their quality is consistently good and when mychemist warehouse has 50% they are good value for money too. I love their colorstay foundation and I find their nail polishes to be very tempting.

2. What is your favourite season in the year? 
Autumn or spring, I don't like the extreme hot or extreme cold and find that in autumn and spring (the "in between" seasons) you get the best of both worlds.

3. Where is your favourite place on earth? 
Wherever my family and friends are.

4. What is the one thing you could never give up? 
Not sure if this is referring to the make-up context or generally so I'll do it for both. Make-up wise I could never give up lip balm because I hate the feeling of dry and chapped lips (and the look gross too). Generally, I guess my family. I love them to bits even though they are highly skilled at driving me crazy sometimes.

5. What is your all time favourite shop? 
I actually don't know, it kind of depends on my mood. The type of shop that I enjoy going to the most would a book shop (even though they are nearly extinct now) because they are really relaxing and very self-indulgent. It can be really stressful when you are trying on clothes or shoes or whatever with books you don't have to worry about any of that :) I love the Myer beauty department too though and I spend way too much time in Priceline!

6. Are you a morning or night person? 
Night person most definitely!

7. What's your favourite scent? 
At the moment I am in love with a perfume from Benefit called 'So Hooked On Carmella'

8. What's one thing you want to do before you die? 
Move overseas.

9. Are you a pants or dresses/skirts kind of girl?
Pants although I do love putting on a dress, I just don't feel comfortable wearing them every day.

10. What's the one piece of advice you want to give your readers? 
Well I heard a really nice quote / motto a couple of weeks ago:

TAG: Would You Rather...Make-up Edition

Hi guys,

I got tagged by Karla at http://cosmeticscoffeeandcats.blogspot.com.au/ to do this tag :) Yay!!! I love doing tags and it also means I don't have to take photos, which is good because I'm lazy! 

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
I would definitely prefer to lose all of my palettes and eyeshadows because I couldn't survive without lip gloss and a) I don't have many palettes, and, b) I rarely wear eyeshadow.

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
I like short hair but I could never chop it all off. I have a constant battle with myself, do I want short hair or long hair and as soon as I chop it I regret it so I would prefer to never be able to cut it again, that way you still have something to work with.

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I've never worn have a coral cheek so I'll have to go with pink.

4. If you had $1,000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Does clothes include handbags and shoes? LOL :p I would have to go with clothes because $1000 on make-up sounds ridiculous but with $1000 you could buy some really nice investment pieces that would last a realllllyyy long time.

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?
Okay I'm totally clueless, I never use eyeliner so I'm not sure what "properties" eyeliners have. I guess I would use eyeliner has lipstick because I can't imagine lipstick working too well, I think it would smudge too much and you would definitely need some special type of brush.

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Obviously this question is for a me in a parallel universe where I live in America because we don't have Sephora here (that hasn't stopped me from spending hours on their website though). I don't own any MAC products and I can't see myself becoming a MAC junkie (although I would love to try some of their eyeshadows) so I'm going with Sephora. I love to try lots of different brands out and they have some pretty awesome ones!

7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
Now it's getting tough...I think I would prefer to only use one eyeshadow but it makes me sad thinking about only ever using one eyeshadow. That being said though, I wear lipgloss or lipstick everyday so I would miss that more. 

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in the summer or summer clothes in the winter?
Summer clothes in winter definitely! You can always wear lots of summer clothes in winter but can you  imagine wearing a long-sleeve top or a sweater or something on a forty degree day? Yuck!!! No thank you...

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Dark colours because they are more sophisticated and to me, are more versatile and blend in more. That's just me though, sure there are people out there who think the totally opposite way, hahaha :) 

10. Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
I would more than happily give up my favourite eye product (Maybelline Copper Chic eye-studio quad) to keep my favourite lip product. Only problem is that I don't actually know what my fave lip product is :s

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
Well I usually wear my hair in a messy bun anyway so what more can I say?

12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?
Really? Geez!!! This is like the impossible question :( I guess I'll go with never paint my nails because I hate the feeling of chapped and dry lips and a bit of lip gloss also makes me feel more presentable.

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or Sharpie them in everyday?

Sharpie them in everyday. 

14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

I love nail polish (which is probably really obvious) but at the end of the day I'm going with make-up because I think it is more functional.

Hi guys, I have a tag for you today! You know how much I love tags... :-)

Greed - What is your most expensive beauty item? 

I was going to say my Revlon Colorstay whipped foundation but I got that during one of My Chemist Warehouse's 50% off sales so I will go with my Benefit perfume called "So Hooked on Carmella".

Sloth - Which product do you neglect the most due to laziness?

On a daily basis I rarely apply eye make-up, both mascara and eyeshadow. Why, you ask? First of all my eyelashes are freaky and like to fall out and curl downwards, not upwards, which makes me scared to wear mascara incase a mascara coated eyelash falls into my eye. Weird? And then I'm just not that good at applying eyeshadow and I am always rushing out the door. I should probably try and wear eye make-up more though...especially if I want to justify my growing collection!

Wrath - Which item do you have a love/hate relationship with?

Eyeshadow, I love it but I can't apply it very well so usually end up only wearing a single colour.....but then that doesn't look amazing so I'm kinda stuck. I really want to improve my eye make-up skills!

Gluttony - What brand makes up most of your make-up collection?

This was a tricky one because it varies between products... I guess I have to say Rimmel London because last week I brought their illuminator, blush and bronzer (and I already had their matte setting powder) however I haven't opened the blush, illuminator or bronzer yet! Their products are really reasonably priced and with the 50% off sale at My Chemist Warehouse they were super cheap.I also have a lot of their polishes. In fact, some of my all-time fave polishes come from their 'metal rush' collection <3

Pride - Which product gives you the most confidence?

I absolutely love my Revlon colorstay whipped foundation because it has great coverage and suits my skin tone really well so it doesn't look like I'm wearing a lot of make-up. It is also very easy to apply :) Definitely a confidence booster!

Lust - Which item is at the top of your beauty wish list? 

Item? More like items!!! I really want to try out L'oreal's Nude Magique Anti-rednes CC Cream but first will force myself to finish one of my BB  creams or moisturizers up. I have too many products open at the moment. I'm also eagerly awaiting the release of the colour whispers in Australia.

Envy - Which make up product/look is great on others but not yourself?

A bold lip. I just simply don't have the confidence to wear anything other than a nude or pale pink lip.

Top 10 Products I would repurchase

I was reading Agnieszka Pelczar's amazing blog (click here to visit her) and she did a tag about if you lost all your make-up what ten products would you repurchase? So I decided it looked like a bit of fun (even though imagining losing all of my make-up and nail polish is super horrible) and did the tag myself. 1. Revlon Colourstay whipped foundation
I brought this in January and I have used it nearly everyday. It applies effortlessly with my fingers, blends well and lasts for most of the day. It doesn't cling too badly to dry skin patches and definitely gives my skin a flawless coverage.

2. Enzyme Cleansing Gel by Mario Badescu
I've raved about this cleanser before and I'm going to do this again. I started using then about five years ago when I was a teenager and had really bad skin and lots of pimples. It cleared up my skin and since re-purchasing it probably six or maybe seven times it continues to keep my skin in-check. I rarely break out and I thank this cleanser. I use it every day and love it <3

3. Nivea Pure and Natural Hand Cream
I love hand cream, I practically hoard the stuff! But this stuff is truly the best hand cream I have used in a long time and I will definitely repurchase it. It contains no nasty chemicals (e.g. parabens...etc) and is super cheap, $3.73 when not on sale. You can buy it from places like Woolworths and Priceline. It absorbs quickly and leaves your skin soft even after washing your hand.

4.  Maybelline Eye Studio Shadow Quad in "Copper Chic"
This costs $16.95 from Priceline when not on sale and is my favourite eye shadow palette. I reach for it the most and I'm never disappointed. Beautiful colours, strong pigmentations and good lasting power. What more could I possibly ask for?

5. L'oreal Colour Riche Lipstic in 235 Nude
I carry this lipstick around with me all the time and whenever I'm not sure what to put on my lips (which is most of the time) I reach for this. I have a review of this coming up so I won't go into too much detail but it lasts well, feels really creamy, doesn't dry your lips out and has a really great "old-fashioned" lipstick scent which I adore. $25.95 when full-price but I got this for 40% off :)

6. Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm
This is one of the best balms out there - seriously! It lasts easily over an hour on my chapped, dry lips. Protects it when I'm out in a cold and windy day and moisturises my lips. It's great!

7. Sinful Colors Nirvana Polish
I'm a nail-polish blogger so ofcourse there is going to be some polish in this list! The difficult bit is deciding out of my 100+ collection which ones would be the first I repurchased.....I picked this polish because it's 3-free and is a stunning colour that looks great wherever you are and whatever you are doing. It also applies really well. $4 from K-Mart or $4.95 from Target or Priceline.

8.Essence English Rose Polish
 I was going to include Essence's 'A Piece of Forever' gold nail polish but it was limited edition so I guess that wouldn't be realistic. Instead I will with Essence's English Rose polish. A one-coater that is a stunning pinky colour. Absolutely fantastic and only $2.75.

9. Sally Hansen - Diamond Strength Hardener
My nails have been shocking lately and I have been using this hoping my nails will stop peeling and breaking. I've also started using Sally Hansen's miracle cure but haven't used it enough to figure out if I love it.

10. Origins VitaZing SPF 15 Energy Boosting Moisturizer
I just finished my first tube of this and I love it. It's really moisturising and I like how it is tinted because it's perfect for lazy days or for underneath foundation.

TAG: Beauty This or That?

Hi guys, I have a TAG post for you. I  have really been enjoying tags lately and invite you all to join in on them. Feel free to link to your blog in the comments section below if you have completed any tags lately :) Anyway I got this from Corynlee, click here to visit her blog!!!

Beauty This Or That?

Makeup:

·         Blush or Bronzer? Neither? Although I think blush looks lovely. 

·         Lipgloss or Lipstick? Um, probably lipstick. 

·         Liner or Mascara? Mascara :)

·         Foundation or Concealer? Foundation - I ALWAYS wear it! 

·         Neutral Eyeshadow or Colour? Definitely neutral eyeshadow!!! I love brown toned eye shadows and if I'm feeling adventurous I might wear a little bit of a metallic brown or gold-y colour. Have to give a shout out to my fave eyeshadow quad. The "copper chic" one from maybelline. Amazing, seriously! 

·         Pressed or loose eyeshadow? Pressed

Nails and body: 

·         OPI or China Glaze? Neither. 

·         Long or Short Nails? This is a tricky one and as always I want to sit on the fence and say 'medium'. But I'm trying to be less indecisive to I'm going to go with short.

·         Acrylic or Natural? Natural - no doubt about it!

·         Brights or Darks? Both? 

·         Flower or No Flower? No flower. 

·         Perfume or Body Splash? Perfume......I don't know what body splash is though?

·         Lotion or Body Butter? Lotion because it is more practical. Have you ever tried using a body butter as a hand cream.......?

·         Body Wash or Soap? Body Wash!

·         Lush or other bath company? The Body Shop although I do love Lush! But I don't have a bath so that rules out a lot of the products in lush :(

Fashion:

·         Jeans or Sweat Pants? I love lazing around in trackies!

·         Long Sleeve or Short Sleeve? I love both depends on the weather

·         Dresses or skirts? Most definitely dresses. I absolutely adore skirts on other people but I just cannot wear them. I feel fat and short when I wear a skirt! 

·         Stripes or Plain? I like both and I kind of feel like this question depends on what type of fashion we are talking about. I have recently accumulated quite a lot of t-shirts with stripes on. BUT at the same time you can't beat a plain old t-shirt.

·         Flip Flops or Sandals? Sandals. 

·         Scarves or Hats? Yay!!!! FINALLY an easy question....scarves 100%. I love scarves and think they are amazing. You can never have too many :) Well that's my excuse anyway :p 

·         Studs or Dangly Earrings? Studs. I use to like dangly earrings but now I'm on the studs side of the fence. 

·         Heels or Flats? Flats because you can actually walk in them! If I wear heels they are never very high.... I like wearing heels (baby heels we are talking about) but flats can take you anywhere and are good for people like me who are, er, kinda clumsy...

·         Cowboy Boots or Riding Boots? Um okay? Let me think.....Riding boots can look cool but hey cowboy boots are pretty cool too! I don't really have a preference for either but if I had to pick one I would probably pick riding boots.

·         Jacket or Hoodie? Okay don't get me wrong, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE hoodies but as I'm getting older I am also learning to love jackets so um, er, let me think.......I guess I will say jacket but I kinda feel like I am betraying my old lover. 

·         Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe? We don't have any of these shops here in Oz. 

·         Abercrombie or Hollister? Neither. Ditto above. 

Hair:

·         Curly or Straight? Straight :)

·         Bun or Ponytail? Bun. 

·         Bobby Pins or Butterfly Clips? Bobby pins I guess, although I am tempted to say 'neither'.

·         Hair Spray or Gel? Hair spray. I hate to think what would happen if I tried to use gel. I have enough trouble with hair spray! 

·         Long or Short? GAH!!! Another tricky question :( Both? 

·         Light or Dark? Dark. 

·         Side Sweep or Full Bangs? I'm on the side sweep team 100% of the way!

·         Up or Down? I'm lazy so I'm gonna have to go with up.

Random:

·         Rain or Shine?Shine....as long as it's not too hot. 

·         Summer or Winter? Neither.

·         Fall or Spring? Love them both <3

·         Chocolate or Vanilla? Chocolate......yummy!

TAG: Beauty Blogger Tag

Hi guys, I have a quick post for you tonight. I saw this on Jasmine's blog (click here to visit her, her blog it's great!) and decided to do it myself! I love a beauty tag :p 

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?

My hair is naturally "relatively" straight. 

2. What is your natural hair color?

Oh dear, I'm hopeless at describing colours! It's a mousey-brown colour although I really want to dye it red. 

3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?

I've occasionally got red foils done at the salon. I'm not brave enough to do it myself even though it would save a lot of money...

4. How often do you wash your hair?

Every day!

5. Do you wear the same style every day or change it?

I usually just wear a bun or ponytail. If I want to look more "presentable" I straighten it. However I have just worn it down but not straightened twice lately and it was okay....maybe something I will do more? 

6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?

I paint my own nails! I can't justify spending money on something I can do perfectly well and lets face it.....I change my nail polish every two or three days so it would be pointless! I have also heard some absolutely horrible stories so no thanks. I think I'll stay home :)

7. How often to you change your nail polish?

Approximately every three days. Depends on my mood. 

8. Do you polish your toes in the winter, too or just in the summer?
I wish I was one of those people that could paint their toes perfectly but I find it quite difficult so sadly my toe nail polish is usually chipped (even in the summer) so nope I don't polish my toes in the winter.

9. How long does it take to put on your makeup?

Um, probably less than ten minutes unless I am going somewhere fancy. If I am trying to make an effort I will wear eyeshadow but on a normal day it's either foundation or bb cream , maybe some setting powder and some lip balm.

10. What do you do first? Face or eyes?

Face, mascara, eyes. 

11. Do you "collect" makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?

Hahaha, buy what I need???? Nope, I collect :)

12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?

Never.

13. Do you do a full face of makeup every day?

Um probably never. I guess it depends what your idea of a full face of make-up is. A full face of make-up for me is foundation, setting powder, mascara, eyeshadow and lippy. I usually just wear foundation/bb cream and lip balm or lippy. I have started using Rimmel's matte powder thing (the name escapes me) lately and have been pleased with it.

14. Do you wear makeup when you are home alone (or with family)?

Not really, just moisturiser or maybe a bb cream or tinted moisturiser. Oh and always some kind of lip balm because I'm addicted to the stuff!!!

15. Will you leave the house without makeup?

Ofcourse :)

16. How many high end products do you have?

Um, not sure if I have any??? I have a Korres lipstick, a Benfit lip gloss and a Benfit perfume which are the most expensive things in my collection. Not sure if they are "high end" though?

17. How often do you wash your makeup brushes?

I only just brought a few brushes so never...yet!

18. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you are getting dressed?

A bit of both. If I have to wake-up early I will set my clothes out before going to sleep. Otherwise I often think about it while in bed. Sometimes I just end up staring into my wardrobe and whatever happens happens......

19. How often do you change your handbag?

All the time! Before my nail polish addiction I was a handbag and shoe addict. Actually, I still am!!!! L.O.V.E handbags <3 Sometimes every day or every second day. Depends if I am going to uni or going out with friends....etc.

20. What time do you get up & go to sleep?

I'm usually alseep by 11pm and I get up whatever time lets me get to work and uni on time. 

21. How often & when do you workout?

I go on "power-walks" around four or five times a week. 

22. Left-handed or Right-handed?

Right.

23. How tall are you?

Pretty short :-/

24. Do you speak a foreign language?

Nope.

25. How many pets do you have?

I have a beautiful old dog. 

26. How often are you on Blogger?

Every day!!!

27. Do you read the comments posted blogs?

Yep! :p

29. How did you come up with your blog name?

Um I don't know.....I don't really like the name and want to change it but don't want to have to start all over again! GAH!!!!

30. What kind of camera do you use for photographs?

Cannon something? Got it during the Boxing Day sales and absolutely love it <3 

31. How often do you clean your house? (Daily, weekly, other)

Every day or every second day. I find myself cleaning when I have a lot of assignments to do....procrastination :p Maybe this is weird but I find it relaxing to tidy everything and put everything in it's place!

32. What is your favorite color?

Teal or black. 

33. What is your favorite beauty/fashion magazine?

I don't read many magazines and not any beauty or fashion related ones. 

34. Do you swear?

Um, er, yeah :s

35. What are you doing with the rest of your day?

It's getting late so I'm going to finish watching NCIS:LA and then going to sleep!
