3 A.M.A.Z.I.N.G glitter polishes

Hi guys, if you visit my blog from time to time you might notice that I occasionally on a Monday I do a "by the numbers" post...basically I go to a random number generator and then use whatever number gets generated as inspiration for a post. This week the number generator (from random.org) spat out the number 3...so I present to you 3 awesome glitter polishes. Who doesn't love some glitter?

1. Models Prefer - Stardust $2.50
Stardust is a mixture of white and black matte glitters in different sizes and shapes in a clear base. It came in a two pack with a black cream polish that retailed for $5 from Priceline (exclusively). I really LOVE this polish because it is foolproof (don't have to mess around with placing the glitters), the glitters dry flat and it looks amazing over a ton of polishes. If you are falling head over heels with this polish run (don't walk) to your local Priceline because I know these packs are still available. Priceline also has a set of 3 lipsticks for $10 and there were other cream polish / glitter polish combinations for $5 too.

2. Face of Australia - Studio 54 $4.95
Chunky hexagonal copper glitters and a decent sprinkling of smaller copper glitters makes this polish my favourite "normal glitter" polish. It's pretty dense and I love how it looks when layered over a copper polish. I wrote a review on it back in May, click here if you want to read the review and see an excessive amount of photos of it!

3. Face of Australia - Boogie Wonderland  $4.95
Finally, we have a milky, indie reminiscent polish called, Boogie Wonderland. Although quite sheer after two or three coats you get a good amount of colour and a healthy dose of glitter. The long bar glitters don't always dry flat and like to curl up, but that can be easily fixed. Overall this is a really fun polish and again if you want to read a review of it...click here.

Thanks for reading,
Cheers

By The Numbers - 4 new products in Australia

It's time for another 'by the numbers post' and the number for this week is number four. Before I get into it, in case you are wondering what a 'by the numbers' post is I'll explain what is going through my crazy mind! Every week I go to random.org where I use their random number generator and then whatever number gets generated, I do a post based on it.

Today I will focus on four new products that have recently hit the Australian shores and have been buzzing around the blogging community furiously.

  • Maybelline Colour Whisper
It's no secret that I have been impatiently waiting for the colour whispers to arrive in Australia and finally last week they did :) So I hot-footed it down to my local Priceline to find that they were nearly all sold out. Luckily out of all the testers I swatched, there was one left of the colour I liked the most 'Lust for Blush'. I'm hopeless at describing colours but I'll give it a shot anyway by describing it as a warm-toned natural looking pink (don't say I didn't warn you). I've only worn it for a couple of days so far so I will write a more comprehensive review later, but so far I'm finding that it feels really nice and smooth on the lips and gives you a good wash of colour for a sheer-ish colour although lasting power isn't fantastic but kind of expected due to the paleness of the colour. The bolder shades probably stay around for a lot longer. I will definitely be going back to buy more. One final thing I will say is that I was surprised by the range of colours, I was expecting them to be more everyday, run of the mill shades but the majority of them were quite bold when I swatched them.

I found the colour whispers are Priceline for $14.95 and haven't seen them anywhere else yet but I'm sure they will eventually make their way to all of the Maybelline stands.
  • Rimmel London Apocalips
Another products that has been storming through beauty blogs and definitely a lip product I didn't need but really wanted to try out for the blog and see if they're worth all the hype :p I got the shade Celestial which is a pink berry colour. Haven't worn it yet but will review it for you guys later once I have worn it for awhile.

These can be found at both Priceline and Target and retail for $15.95 however at Priceline they are currently 50% so you can grab them for $7.97.

  • Revlon Girly Nail Polish & Heavenly Nail Polish
There are some new polishes on the Revlon stands and two of the most talked about, by all those lucky people who get everything before we do in Australia, were the polishes Heavenly and Girly. Girly is a sheer pink polish with various pink and purple glitters dispersed throughout. Heavenly is a chunky flakie.

Hope you enjoyed this post and don't get too tempted to run to the shops!!!
Cheers :)

The number 21 inspired me to make a list of 21 products that cost $21 or as close too that as possible...
I also want to say that I don't own all of these products so I'm not saying that they're all absolutely amazing but I have googled them and read reviews on them. If you own any of these products please feel free to comment below and let me know what you think.

Oh my goodness! That was actually a lot more difficult than I thought it would be!!! I tried my best to keep to within a dollar of the $21 mark and hope that you enjoy this random list :)

Do you love or hate any of the things on this list? I really want to try the revlon super lustrous lipstick, max factor flawless perfection blush and the bare minerals 100% pure lipstick. Also, I just have to say it... Soap and Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker Lipgloss is such a cool name for a gloss :p

By The Numbers: 33

Hi guys, so you might remember two weeks ago in my "things are happening" post I told you all that every Monday I was going to do a 'by the numbers' post but then on Monday it was the "anniversary" of my blog and being the sentimental person that I am I wanted to celebrate blogging for a year. Soooo......this post  got delayed :( But never mind, it is finally here and from now on it will once a week (every Monday) and yes I know it's Tuesday... *guilty look*

For the first 'By The Numbers' post I decided to go to random.org which is a website that generates random numbers. The number for this week is: 33.

So then I sat there and went "huh, 33? what can I do that is related to the number 33?" and twiddled by thumbs for a while before the idea came to me. Not sure sure if it's any good and if you have a better idea let me know :) I present to you the $33 lip collection.

If I only had $33 to spend on lip products and I had no other lip products in my possession what would I buy?

  • Yes To Carrots Lip Butter in Melon $5.99
This is 95% USDA organic lip balm that stays on your lips for over an hour moisturizing them and leaving them soft. I will be relying on this all winter and especially love it because it is free from parabens and is not tested on animals.
  • Rimmel London Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick $11.99
Rimmel London offer a great selection of lipsticks and some of them are under $10 making them a bargain, especially considering their high quality. I have #19 and whilst it is a bit too bold for me I would definitely repurchase another lippy from the range if I had to "re-build" my lipstick collection.

  • Pamer's Cocoa Butter Formula Dark Chocolate and Peppermint Lip Butter $4.79
Eve ignoring the delicious scent of this gel-like lip butter this is a great product to have in your lip collection. It moisturizes and conditions your lips as well being quite glossy which makes it great to wear either alone or under/over lipstick when it is either becoming drying or has nearly worn off.

  • Essence Lipstick $3.50
Essence has a great selection of lipsticks and for the price of $3.50 you can't fault them. Doing this post reminded me of them and now I know next time I'm at Priceline I will adding another to my collection!

  • Essence Stay With Me lipgloss $3.50
And the final product I would select would be a stay with me lipgloss by essence because they have good lasting power and are cheap! Also, they have a great selection of colours. They are stickier than the XXL Shine glosses  by essence but feel nicer on the lips and the sticky factor is pretty subtle.

Total $29.77

I hope you enjoyed this, the first ever 'by the numbers' post, which will be a weekly feature on my blog from now on. Please feel free to leave a comment below, what would your $33 lipstick collection consist of? I would love to know!
Cheers :)
