Goodbye Summer

Okay so technically summer has been over for a couple of weeks now but due to a heat wave it was only these last few days where it has felt like autumn. So I decided now was a good time to review my favourite products for the summer and for those of you luck enough to be heading into summer, you might find it inspiring for your upcoming summer!

This summer, compared to the past few which were pretty bad, was quite warm so I often stepped out of the house in very light and natural looking make-up. When exercising or going out in the sun I wore Sun Sense Invisible Tint Finish SPF30+ Daily face Moisturiser as a moisturiser on it's own and/or under my make-up. It worked well under my make-up and absorbed nicely into my skin. I will definitely be using this again next summer!

Covergirl Natureluxe Foundation - I also discovered Covergirl's NatureLuxe series in January and thought that their foundation was great! This foundation wore well on hot days and was comfortable due to it's lightweight formula. No thick gloopy mess to see here. It is a tad darker than I would normally wear but in the summer I can get away with it! In winter I just look like a vampire.....but I don't sparkle :(

However my most used product for my face this summer was definitely Origin's VitaZing SPF15 Energy Boosting Moisturiser with Mangosteen. This is not only a brilliant moisturiser but I love the fact that it is contains SPF as well as a tint so when I don't feel like wearing make-up I can wear this alone for low-to-medium coverage. Also works under make-up. I am nearly at the end of my tube :( but definitely see myself buying this again!

Nail polish favourites.....pretty much impossible for me to pick a single nail product but here is a kind-of constrained list of 3.

Sinful Colors Timbleberry - I wore this on my toes and on my fingers numerous times! It's a very fun fluorescent coral colour! I love coral and this was my fun summer polish for this year. I adore the colour and it is also great for nail-art.

Ulta3 Black Satin - this is THE black polish you cannot live without and it's only $2 BARGAIN!!! Works great for stamping and for nail art. It also applies easily and dries quickly.

Sally Hansen Hardener - ever since using this I have noticed a significant decrease in peeling nails and my nails feel a lot stronger. Yippee.

Okay now on to lip products. There were not really any lip products this summer that I constantly wore because I was experimenting but I did use my Maybelline Baby Lips in Energizing Orange a lot as a basic balm and when I was rushing out of the house and/or couldn't decide what I wanted to wear on my lips I grabbed my Bloom Lip Tint in Nude. A great lip product to have in your handbag!!!!

I finally did something with my cuticles and started using Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream  - this stuff works!!! It is seriously amazing and smells pretty yummy too :)

Finally, my favourite shower gel has been this one, Organic Care Shower Gel - Green tea and aloe.

Thanks for reading and please do let me know what your favourites have been :)
