Rimmel London Lasting Finish By Kate Moss Lipstick Shade 19 Review

Hi guys, today I am going to review the Rimmel London Lasting Finish By Kate Moss Lipstick in shade 19 (phew that is a mouthful!). These lipsticks are by no means new, they have been on the shelf for at least a couple of months now. Not exactly sure when they were released. I have had this for probably three or four months now (wow, where does time go???) and to be honest I don't reach for it very often because I don't like a bold lip but it is a gorgeous colour and a great product. I will probably try and get one of these in a more "natural" shade. But anyway, I will get onto it.....

For such a cheap lipstick  ($11.95 AUD) this lipstick is high quality across all areas: packaging, pigment, lasting power and moisturising quality. And unlike high-end products this often goes on sale. At the moment My Chemist Warehouse has 50% of Rimmel so you could grab this for a stunning $5.97

Shade 19 is a beautiful deep pink with nude undertones. It's quite a "berry" colour to me although I am literally hopeless at describing colours so I will stop now....
Despite being a matte lipstick it doesn't dry your lips out and doesn't cling to your chapped lips too badly. After an hour you might like to apply a gloss on top if your lips aren't in perfect condition.

Packaging
This lipstick comes in a sturdy black tube. The lid firmly clicks shut, I for one love things that go "click".

Formula
This lipstick has a lovely thick creamy formula and has fantastic pigmentation. Upon application it feels creamy but too heavy. It applies well, even when your lips are slightly chapped and it doesn't emphasise chapped lips which is great as some matte lipsticks can. It has a really delicious scent which reminds me of raspberries (I think) however it doesn't stick around for too long.

Lasting power
This lipstick lasts quite awhile on my lips. For the first hour your lips look like you have just applied and then it begins to fade. However, it does fade evenly and as doesn't smear across your face. If you are eating and drinking I find this lipstick lasts for an hour before about 50% of the pigment fades. It doesn't dry your lips out, just returns your lips to whatever state they were in before you applied the lipstick.

Packaging score: 9/10
Formula score: 8/10
Lasting power: 8/10

If you are in Australia don't forget Rimmel London is currently 50% off at My Chemist Warehouse.

Thanks for reading this review and have a great week!
