New Essence Haul

For weeks essence has been saying that they have a new range coming with new polish bottles and an assortment of other awesome stuff. And then they announced on facebook the new range would be on shelves next week. I happened to be at the shopping center today so I popped into Target and Priceline thinking that it might already be on display and I got lucky :) Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The display had all of the new polish bottles plus the new lip balms and glosses. Being totally overwhelmed by the entire range in front of me I hastily grabbed three polishes and a balm. With hindsight I realise that the polishes I picked are not exactly spring-time themed but oh well, I am still super excited to swatch them!

The polishes I got are:

  • walk on the wide side  (a dark green with shimmer)
  • date in the moonlight (a navy polish with blue shimmer)
  • english rose (a dusty pink)

The balm I got is:
  • kiss care love lipbalm: fruit crush
I heard that in the US the price jumped from 99 cents to $1.99 when essence introduced the new bottles but I'm very happy that the price jump here was only from $2.55 to $2.75.

I think 'date in the moonlight' is going to be a really good polish to layer under 'blue addicted'.

Also, if you haven't already noticed the old range of essence polishes (plus some other products) are 50% at the moment at Priceline as they clear it out, so if there are any polishes that you want to get in quick as the essence stands that haven't received the new range are looking pretty empty! I got 'blue addicted' and 'where is the party'. This is the first time I have ever brought doubles but at $1.72 each I couldn't think of a reason why I shouldn't. Um, yeah, polished addicted? Me????? Nahhh!

Cheers and thanks for reading :)

  1. Is the balm good? I haven't got it yet. :)
I have English Rose and it's a really pretty colour! It lasts quite long on my nails too, a bit longer than the new shimmery/glittery shades.

    1. I've worn the balm quite a bit in the recent days. I'm really pleased with the balm! It feels really creamy and lasts for about an hour. Sorry I took so long to reply!!!!
I am really looking forward to painting my polish with english rose. The reason I brought it was actually because of your beautiful swatch of it :)
