Make-up Bag #1

Okay, I'm going to come right out and say it! I'm over it....I'm sick of it....it's driving me crazy!!!!! I don't have a "make-up bag" and I've never felt the need one for one if I'm frank. I never touch-up my make-up and while I'm out and about all I ever do is reapply my gloss or lippy. But I've decided I need to get one together because I can't cope if I don't have a lipbalm on me.....hate dry lips. I also like to have hand-sanitiser on me and tissues are good too. I use to have a make-up bag kinda thing but I didn't keep make-up in it, just band-aids, hand-sanitiser and the spare tissues.

Wow that was a long ramble! Sorry and congratulations if you are still with me :)

So now, the exciting bit, what am I going to put in my make-up bag? Because obviously it is only going to be the best of the best!

First up, the actual make-up bag: Over a year ago I brought a set of 3 make-up bags from rubi shoes. The brown one I will use as the make-up bag because I'm using the other two.....and this is the largest so that works well :)

Okay so I'm sure this looks weird but I included this highlighter in the picture because I figured most of us know what a highlighter looks like and it gives you a better idea of the true size of the make-up bag.

Now, lip products, for me the most important! I hate dry lips and since I'm developing an obsession for lip products I want moist lips. I wish I could throw my nivea lip butter in 'caramel cream' into my make-up bag but I hate germs and can't stand the thought of putting my dirty fingers into it when I'm out and about. So instead I am going to throw into the bag my 'Neutrogena Naturals Lip Balm'. I'm still looking for my holy grail lip balm but this one isn't bad! I especially love how it is free from sulfates, parabens, petrochemicals, dyes and phthalates. Also in my make-up bag is my L'oreal Paris Color Riche 235 Nude lipstick. It is practically a 'my lips but better' and can be applied without a mirror. I love the smell of this lipstick and it isn't drying.

I'm also going to chuck in my 'Ginger Sparkle Hand Cream' from The Body Shop which is a great size for the handbag. I have a really bad habit of opening up hand creams and never finishing them so hopefully by having a single tube on me all the time I will be able to finish some of them off! Love the smell of this :)

Then I will also have my Lifebuoy hand sanitiser and a small packet of tissues in their.

Thanks for reading and please let me know what you keep in your make-up bag!!!

  1. I hate dirty hands especially after touching shopping trolleys. I always carry a small packet of baby wipes around with me.

In my makeup bag I have Sunscreen, BB cream, finishing powder and a kabuki brush, a couple of lip butters, mascara, body spray, hair brush and a couple of hair ties.

    1. Such a good idea to have spare hair ties! I should really do that, I can never find one when I need one...I swear there is a hair-tie eating monster in my house.
