Make Vibrant Shampoo + Conditioner 

This year I made the switch from supermarket hair care to "salon" haircare. This was the first "salon" haircare that I found was decent. This is a really good shampoo and conditioner, definitely one to try out. 

Paul Mitchel original The Detangler 

This conditioner is okay however the matching shampoo is nowhere near finished which is annoying. I wouldn't re-purchase this conditioner as I don't like the accompanying shampoo but the conditioner itself was fine. 

Toni & Guy Intense Softness Shampoo + Conditioner for Normal Hair 

These were both pretty good products and the packaging is practical, however mine broke during the first week. I would re-purchase these. 

Clinique liquid facial soap extra mild 

My holy grail cleanser! I think my skin might be addicted as every time I try other cleansers I seem to break out. This is very gentle meaning your skin never feels stripped. I really love this cleanser. 

Do these really work? Grammar Tangle Ties

I'm going to be completely honest and say that when I got sent these Glammar Tangle Ties to review I was skeptical. I've never seen hair ties like this before and they reminded me of those key rings that were popular when I was in primary school... So do these really work or do they get stuck in your hair and hurt like crazy?

The Glammar Tangle Tie is a traceless hair ring which is meant to be suitable for all hair types. The idea behind them is that they are meant to exert an uneven amount of pressure on your hair meaning there is no tell-tale sign when you pull your hair out that your hair has been tied up.

Pros:

• They feel really comfortable in your hair regardless of if you tie your hair up in a bun or a ponytail. 
• Using your standard hair tie I sometimes tie my hair up to tightly after a little while I can't bear it anymore and have to re-do my bun/ponytail. This is such a pain especially if I haven't thrown my hairbrush into my bag for work. With the Tangle Tie I never get that headache, it's impossible to tie the too tightly. But they still hold onto your hair tight enough that you don't feel like its loose. 
• You're never going to struggle when it's time to pull your hair tie out. These literally slide right out of your ponytail!

Cons: 

• After using them for a little while they loose their shape. 
• They are bulkier than your standard hair tie so they won't necessarily fit into your phone case / wallet / pocket. 

You can buy these from AMR. For a three pack it's $2. As I mentioned earlier I received these for free but I honestly would not feature them on the blog if I didn't like them. Overall I really like these hair ties and will continue to use them.

September Favourites

September has been a busy month for me, with the majority of my assignments due for the trimester falling in a two-week period my month has included sleep deprivation, running late, battling to get my essays within the word count (I always write too much, sometimes 1000 words too much) and so my favourites for this month are products  that have allowed me to get my make-up on with only 5 minutes to spare. Having said that there are a lot of products I have worn and absolutely fallen head over heels in love with!!!

I have already raved about this but, the Maybelline Pure Dream BB Cream is absolutely amazing. I was expecting the worst because bb creams never seem to do what you want but that all changed when I put this on my face. Perfect for everyday wear and when you're in a rush. I also find that this helps keep my skin under control, bonus! :) Coverage is light-medium and it lasts a good 5 hours before showing any sign of wear. 

Face of Australia's 'Foxy Roxy' polish only came home with me a couple of weeks ago but it is already one of my favourite polishes. I wrote a review on it where I raved about how awesome it was (click here to read that review). 

Another polish, I brought Revlon's 'Copper Penny' nail polish when MyChemist Warehouse had 50% off Revlon. I haven't gotten around to writing a review on this yet but there is one in works...long story cut short, it's a stunning metallic warm copper colour, formula is divine and requires only one coat. It also dries pretty quick which is great for clumsy old me.

Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick in 'Warm Me Up' has been sitting my lipstick drawer for ages and I've barely worn it...for some reason I thought it was too bold for me. Well obviously I was off with the fairies because this is such a lovely colour, it lasts a really long time and feels super creamy. I'm going to have to write a review on this because it flew past all of my expectations. Also, there is a funny story behind this lippy. I had been watching a lot of youtube videos last week (in an attempt to avoid doing my assignments) and one of them raved about this lipstick and said how they had heard heaps of good things about it from other youtubers. I didn't even realise I had this lippy in my collection until a few days later when for some unknown reason I decicded to wear it and glanced at the name label. This couldn't be a sign that I have too many lipsticks, could it???

Burts Bees Ultra Conditioning Balm has been my go to balm for this month. I think I included it in last months favourites too so won't say too much about it. I really enjoy using this balm though.

Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in 275 'Mauve Twist' knocked my socks off when I first wore it. It is such a versatile colour, is surprisingly pigmented and has good lasting power. It also seems to stain the lips ever so lightly without drying them out. I feel like a broken record because I keep raving about all of these products, but it is a "favourites" post and I have discovered and used some fabulous products this month.

Schwarzkopf Hair Repair Colour Protect Express Repair Leave-in Conditioner. Late last month I went ombre and having heard that ombre was bad for my hair I picked this up in an attempt to keep my locks healthy. Don't usually look after my hair that well but I have really liked using this product (when I remember). It is really easy to use and makes my hair feel really healthy. I'm not really a "hair-care product person" so don't really know what to say...but I do like this!

Nivea Pure & Natural Facial Cleansing Wipes I'm not really a "wipe" person but I received these for free when I won them in a competition so decided to use them to take off swatches. Sometimes I will be studying and if I notice the sun peeping out from behind the clouds I rush around collecting lipsticks and whatever to swatch. Which is great until you realise your arm is covered in lipstick and you need to get rid of them before you have spread lipstick over everything...cue these wipes...They work pretty well to remove any products I've swatched that are refusing to budge. Never used them on my face though so can't say if they fulfill their purpose.

So that was what I loved for the month of September. A lot of lip products when you think about it...I think it was the month of lip products!!! It also appears that there are a lot of products I need to write reviews for.
