Priceline 40% off Haul

So if you live in Australia, are a make-up addict and/or a shopaholic and don't live in a cave you would know this already...Priceline had their 40% off all cosmetics sale this Tuesday and Wednesday. The aisles of Priceline became packed with people, products flew off the shelves and bank accounts wept. I picked up quite a few goodies and am really excited to give them a go!

Apologies for the disgusting photos, winter is coming and the light is fading. It was overcast and dark all day :( It was one of those days where it feels like you have no "daytime". Anyway let's discuss some of the products I picked up. The first thing I saw when I walked into Priceline was a huge new stand of the brand new Revlon Ultra HD Lipsticks. I was super excited to see them and so happy they were in stores for the 40% off sale because they normally retail at $23.95, which is pretty expensive for a "drugstore" lipstick. I tried to be sensible and picked up one shade, 'Magnolia'. My first impression of the lipstick is that it is very lovely. It smells really nice and has decent lasting power. It also does not dry your lips out.

Speaking of new products, I picked up a Maybelline Master Hi-Light Blush in 'Pink Rose'. These were launched ages ago in America and I have been waiting patiently for them to arrive in Australia. I think this will be a very pretty pink blush. It comes in quite a sturdy compact with a mirror and a little brush.

I saw this eyeshadow palette from Models Prefer and for a mere $6 I could not say no! The 12 shadows come in a tin and a double-ended brush is included. Reminds you of a high-end eyeshadow palette, yeah?

I picked up a pressed powder from Australis. I know that a lot of Aussie beauty bloggers /youtubers rave about a powder from Australis but I'm not sure if it is this one or the other one...if you know, please do let me know :) I also picked up  Revlon Colourstay foundation. My holy grail foundation is the colorstay whipped cream that comes in a jar but I decided to try out the liquid version which seems to get a lot of love. The Essence Maximum Definition Volume mascara was a re-purchase. And at the very end near the register I spotted this limited edition tin of Lanolips which was a bargain. The products included in the tin are valued at $27. It was originally being sold for $20 and I got it for $10. I love a bargain :)

I hope you enjoyed this haul. What did you pick up from Priceline? Also, which products would you like to see reviewed first on the blog?

Thanks for reading!!! Cheers :)

Priceline Haul

Hi guys!!! Today (and tomorrow) Priceline has 40% off all cosmetics so I thought it was a good time to pick up some goodies. Well, let's be  honest... I will use any excuse to do some shopping and 40% is a good reason in my book.

On a complete impulse I grabbed the CC cream from Physician's formula. I love their mascara but have never tried any of their other products or any CC creams.

Something that was most definitely not an impulse buy was another jar of the Revlon Colorstay whipped cream foundation. I have lost count of how many jars I have brought of this foundation. Maybe five? Maybe more?! Another purchase that was not an impulse was the Maybelline Elixir gloss in 'Caramel Infused'. This was a re-purchase because I lost my previous one :( I also re-purchased the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in 'Barely Branded'. Love it!!!

A purchase that was completely unexpected was the Models Prefer Infinite Colour Eye Pencil in 'Gold Star'. I thought I picked up the bronze version but obviously not. I'm not sure what I am going to do with a gold eye liner???

I also grabbed a longlasting lipstick from Esssence in 'Natural Beauty', a Lip Quench lipstick in 'Nude Satin' from Face of Austraia and a Babylips Electro Pop lip balm in 'Shocking Pink' from Maybelline.

If you grabbed anything from the Priceline 40% off sale I would love to know what you picked up!

Thanks for reading,
cheers :)

A little haul

Hi guys! I'm back from my hiatus :) My thesis was due at the end of last month and I literally sat at my desk for over 12 hours a day working on it for over a month. Naturally following that some shopping occurred...

After not reading any beauty blogs or watching any youtube videos for nearly two months the shops were a goldmine of new products I had never heard of! I was instantly drawn to the 'Summer Fiesta Nude Eye Shadow Palette' at kit because we all know I don't need another nude eye palette! With 10 baked eye shadows in a selection of gorgeous colours, in a pretty palette and a massive mirror...I was hooked. Add in the fact that it is limited edition and it had to come home with me :)  So far I have been impressed with this palette and have been reaching for it pretty much everyday.

I also picked up the Australis AC/ME Metallic Finish Eyeshadow in Bronzonce and a Provocalips Lip Colour from Rimmel London. Reviews will be coming soon on all of these products but so far my favourite is the eye shadow palette from Kit!

Thanks for reading and I look forward to getting back into blogging :)
Cheers!

Haul + First Impressions

Hi guys! I have been really busy lately at uni and with a pile of things to do, what do I do? Procrastinate at the shops of course!!! This is my little haul and my first impressions of the products I have used so far.

The reason I went to the shops was that Nyx was 30% off and I'm never one to say no to a bargain. I brought the Love in Paris 'Merci Beaucoup' eyeshadow palette. This palette comes with nine eyeshadows. The three shadows I have used so far are: the bottom left and the two shadows to the right in the top row. These are decent quality for the price. Th bottom left shadow makes a beautiful inner highlight. It's shimmery but not too crazy. They are not super pigmented and don't last for a super long time BUT I haven't tried them with a primer yet.

I also got the 'Terra Cotta' powder blush which is a natural tan with shimmer. I plan on using this for a natural blush / bronzer / highlighter look. I have another, more pink, powder blush from Nyx and love  it.

I also discovered a new section in the beauty department at Target...a shelve full of mini-sized Nivea products, 2 for $5 or 1 for $3. I love the idea of mini-sized products because they are cheaper, I get to try lots of new products and as a beauty blogger it means I can get through them quicker and review them for you without having a million products open at the same time.

I picked up the Nivea 'In Shower Rich Body Lotion' because I've heard good and bad things about it and the 'Rich Nourishing Body Lotion' because Nivea is well known for body lotions. I've used the body lotion already as both a body lotion and a hand cream. It is great as a hand cream because it literally sinks in immediately. As a body lotion is does a good job at moisturising my skin and sinks in quickly. I have only used the 'In Shower Rich Body Lotion' one time and don't feel like I have decided if I like it yet. I'll get back to you!

Thanks for reading,
cheers :)

July Beauty Haul

For the past couple of weeks I have been on holidays which means I have been catching up with friends, shopping and having lots of coffee and cake. When there is shopping there is bound to be a priceline haul (or three). These are the products I have accumulated from a couple of different visits to Priceline.

Polish-wise I got 'Bordeaux' (stunning burgundy cruelly) and 'Spun Sugar' (pewter silver metallic) from Revlon's Parfumerie collection and 'Maleficent' and 'Voldemort' from Face of Australia's limited edition 'Dark Side' collection. I've already painted my nails with all of these polishes and adored 'Bordeaux' and 'Voldemort'. I reviewed 'Bordeaux' here.

During the exam period I picked up Natio's Shea Butter Lip Balm and really enjoyed it. So when I saw a stand of these NEW Tinted Lip Balms from Natio I decided to pick up two. 'Charm' which a MLBB shade and 'Smile' a sheer natural red. I also repurchased Face of Australia's Lip Crayon in 'Macaron'. I use to own this a few years ago but I can't find it and suspect I might have gotten thrown out accidentally.

I also grabbed a real techniques foundation brush and a Rimmel London 'Lash Accelerator Endless' Mascara.

And finally, a cult beauty product! I don't know how long the Nivea Creme in the blue tub has been around but it has been a long, long time. This was a complete impulse purchase that I totally didn't need it but oh well :)

Thanks for reading,
cheers :)

Birthday Haul

Hi guys :) Today I thought I would share with you my birthday haul!!! There have been some products I have been lusting over for a very long time. In some cases, over a year. So on the weekend I went into the city, went to the new H&M store (oh my gosh, I am in LOVE) and brought some make-up goodies.

Let's start with the make-up goodies, shall we?

The one product I had to come home with was the Instain blush from the Balm. I got the shade 'Argyle'  which is one of the more neutral shades in the range. I only recently started loving blush so I didn't want anything too bright. More likely than not, I will end up looking like a clown anyhow. I have high expectations for this product! I have heard so many good things about it and have wanted it for a really long time!!!

I had also had my eye on brushes by Real Techniques. I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to make-up brushes so I thought this kit was a safe option. They are not cheap but if they are as good as everybody says they are...

The Artiste brush cleanser is a boring buy but obviously a necessary buy. You can't buy new brushes and have no why to clean them properly :)

I had absolutely no intention of buying Soap & Glory's Breakfast Scrub. I didn't want it, I didn't need it but I smelt it and then with a blink of an eye it was in a little pink mecca bag coming home with me. It smells delicious and it was my birthday so...ummm...err, that is that.

Finally, I brought a L'Occitane Red Cherry Hand Cream.  I seriously did not need another hand cream ( I have at least three other hand creams on the go at the moment) but I have recently started using another hand cream from them and loved it. So I thought why not buy another? I'll be honest, I don't love this one as much as my other L'Occitane one. Unlike my other one, this one does not consist of 20% shea butter. It smells good though :)

As I said at the beginning. I also went to H&M. Even though it has been open for a few weeks I highly recommend getting there as soon as it opens. I got there around 15 minutes after it opened and walked in. 2 hours later (yes, it took me 2 hours to explore all 3 levels and try clothes on) when I walked out there was a line to get in, that went around the corner of the building! Crazy!!! Is it worth it? Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any guesses what my new favourite shop is? Hahaha

Thanks for reading and if you have any tips for applying blush or maintaining brushes please let me know. Cheers :)

Face of Australia Limited Editions Haul

Hi guys! A couple of days ago I went to the shops to do some errands (bills to pay...etc) and wandered into Priceline (big mistake, I know!). As always I couldn't leave empty handed and found myself walking out with a bag of Face of Australia goodies. Now, I must admit I am pretty excited about this haul...

First of all, I found the new 'Screen Siren' limited edition nail polishes on display. Around this time every year FOA releases a limited edition range of nail polishes which are always gorgeous. The 'Screen Siren' range features 4 nude polishes, a bright blue polish, orange polish and a hot pink polish and a matte top coat. Luckily they only cost $4.95 :) I picked up 'Monroe' which could possibly be my favourite nude polish ever. It's only been on my nails for an hour so I will get back to you about that! It's a very warm nude. I also picked up the matte top coat.

Secondly, there was a limited edition range called 'Glamazon' which consists of a contour and blush kit. I grabbed the contour kit which features a matte bronzer and a gorgeous pink highlighter. For $9.95 I am really looking forward to using my contour kit. I have been meaning to get into contouring, especially highlighting, and now that I have this gorgeous highlighter sitting in my drawer I am inspired.

Have a great day,
cheers :)

Collective Haul & First Impressions

I've got a collective haul to show you today and I will also give you my first impressions for the products I've used. 4 nail polishes, 3 lip glosses, a mascara, a foundation and a moisturiser. What can I say? I like to shop!

Starting with the nail polish, I brought Sinful Colors' 'Winterberry', Revlon 'Autumn Spice' & 'Apricot Nectar' and a red polish from K-Mart. I've already worn the Revlon Parfumerie polishes and reviewed 'Apricot Nectar' here.  The formula of these polishes are really good and the scents last a decent amount of days. Without top coat 'Apricot Nectar' lasted 2-3 days before I got tip wear which I think is pretty good. The colour of 'Autumn Spice' didn't thrill me but nonetheless it is a nice polish for the cooler months. The polish from K-mart is 4-free and has a good formula. A very vivid tomato red.

From the K-mart beauty clearance I grabbed two Maybelline Colorsensational lip glosses; 'Mirrored Mauve' and 'Gleaming Grenadine'. These glosses are lovely. 'Mirrored Mauve' is lovely pinky MLBB gloss for me and doesn't feel sticky at all. The only downside is I find it only lasts a little over an hour. 'Gleaming Grenadine' lasts longer and has a stronger colour. A perfect red lip for me as I don't like super bold lips. If you want to try out a red lip I highly recommend 'Gleaming Grenadine'.

I've also been eyeing off the Bourjois color boost crayons for nearly a year. I finally decided to pick one up in a moment of weakness. 'Red Sunrise' is a bright red that is very opaque. I brought this thinking it would give me a sheer red lip (because it is a lip crayon) but I was wrong. This is far too bold for me which is unfortunate because all other aspects of this product are great. It feels very creamy, lasts for a long time and doesn't dry out your lips. The colour range available is quite small and I hope they release more "easy to wear" colours. A great product, just not for me.

I didn't have any lip liners and decided it was time I got some. I've heard great things about the Essence lip liners and at $1.75 I figured they were perfect for beginners like me! I got two, 'Satin Mauve' and 'In The Nude'.  Haven't used these yet so can't give you my first impressions of them yet.

Again, from the K-Mart beauty clearance I got the newly released Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation for $5. Bargain of the century? I also needed a new moisturiser because for a few weeks I've been shaking my moisturiser bottle upside every bottle and getting more moisturiser dregs on my bedroom walls and not on my face. So I brought the Origins Vitazing moisturiser. Having only used it twice I can't give you a lot of details but it is very lightweight and sinks in quickly.

For the eyes I grabbed the Maybelline 'Designer Chocolates' eyeshadow quad from the K-Mart beauty clearance and from Priceline the mascara I have been wearing for years, Physician's Formula Organic Wear. Priceline currently has $10 off Physician's Formula so I figured it was a good time to pick a new one up.

Phew!!! That was one long post. If you are reading this good job on getting to the end :) As you can see I have done quite a bit of shopping lately. Thanks for reading,
cheers :)

Priceline 40% off haul

This week Priceline had their famous 40% off cosmetics sale. I think its fair to say this is one of the best sales we get here in Oz. I think its also fair to say I used this sale to justifying buying some more products I probably didn't need but at the same time I think I was restrained. Excuse me while I pat myself on the back...I only brought six things!

  • CoverGirl Smoky Shadow Blast in 815 Bronze Fire
This was the last thing I grabbed from the chaos that was Priceline whilst the sale was on. I actually wanted a similar version from Max Factor but they were all out of the shade I wanted so I grabbed this at the last minute. There wasn't even a tester available which was reckless of me as I always like to test out a tester but what is a girl suppose to do when there is 40% off?

  • CoverGirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in 235 Coral Twist
I already have one of these balms in 'mauve twist' and absolutely love it. It has been my most worn lip product for months now. I figured that was a good enough excuse to try another shade :p If you haven't tried these out I highly recommend them.

  • Essie Aruba Blue
How gorgeous does this polish look? I also had a $4 off Essie voucher so figured it was a good time to buy an Essie polish...any excuse will do :p  I only recently discovered essie nail polish but I am already impressed.

  • Sinful Colors Amethyst
I don't wear much purple polish but I have been looking for a purple polish that isn't too pale or dark so I think this might be perfect.

  • Essence mango ice cream glossy lipbalm
A new product to the Essence product range. I love anything mango and I love a good bargain which makes this perfect It came down to $1.05.
  • Blistex Ultra Lip Balm
What can I say about this? Does anybody want sunburnt lips...ewww?

Did you grab anything from the sale? Thanks for reading and have a great week :)

Weekend Priceline Haul

Hi guys, I have a little Priceline haul to show you. During a very quick trip to the shops on the weekend I ventured into Priceline...

I was very excited to see the new Revlon Chroma Chamelon Collection and picked up Pink Quartz. I think duochrome polishes are my all time favourite polishes and often find myself reaching for a duochrome polish when I'm in a polish rut!

Then there was a deal on Essie polishes I couldn't resist, two polishes for $20. With one polish normally costing around $17 I decided to get Trophy Wife (which is a stunning metallic/shimmery teal polish) and the Essie Grow Stronger base coat.

Finally I also picked up some nail polish remover from Face of Australia. My nails have been awful for months so I have decided to swap to acetone-free remover and see if that makes a difference. Fingers cross it does because I'm at my wits end! My nails keep peeling :'(

So that was my haul :) I hope you had a great weekend,
cheers.

Exam Revision Haul

Hi guys,
as you have you probably noticed I haven't been writing many posts lately.Yes I do still reside on planet Earth but fortunately or unfortunately ( I don't quite know) my final exams before I graduate are coming up so I have been frantically revising for those. I am really looking forward to getting back into the blog though once my exams are over :)

Anyway, I will stop boring you and get onto the haul I accidentally did on a quick trip to the shops. Nothing better than a haul when you are procrastinating :)

The majority of this is from Priceline, except for the sugar coat polish which is from My Chemist Warehouse and the Sinful Colors polishes from Target.

As a nail polish lover I have been looking for the perfect pale pink polish. From my limited experience with pale pink polishes I find they usually have appalling formulas so I accidentally accumulated a few today. I blame Sinful Colors, I came across their Bare Necessities collection and because I had pink polishes on my mind I couldn't help but pick them up! I also got one of the new Sugar Coat Sally Hansen texture polishes. Not a huge fan of texture polishes but you never know until you try them...well that's how I'm justifying it anyway :p

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a fantastic weekend! :)

August Collective Haul

Hi guys,
this is just going to be a quick collective haul post for the month of August. Uni is crazy at the moment so I'm part zombie at the moment, so shall we just get on with it? Earlier this month I had a week of hauling that was so huge it deserved it's own post...but I have picked up some other things too. So I'll show everything here and I'll also leave the link for the other post.

So this is everything I've accumulated this month...I don't know whether I should be happy or ashamed? I'll be honest, some things I didn't need but there were a handful of "needed" items too. For more info on the lip products, chapstick tin, and cream eyeshadows click here to go to the other post.

This week Essence finally released a new limited trend edition (yay!!!) called "Me & My Icecream". I grabbed a pale pink eyeshadow named Icylicious and a cream blush called Ice Bomb.

My eyebrows needed some attention so I've started experimenting with the essence lash & brow gel mascara and an eyebrow pencil. Both items for under $4 from memory.

Cream eyeshadows from Face of Australia and Maybelline (click here for more information).

I've never tried a polish from the core range from Face of Australia so I picked up 'foxy roxy' and 'that's what i mint'.

My Revlon Colorstay Whipped Cream foundation ran out so I decided to pick up Rimmel's Stay Matte foundation while I wait for the revlon colorstay foundation to go on sale. I also grabbed Maybelline's new Dream Pure BB Cream which is amazing. First bb cream I have ever loved to pieces.

This is a repurchase, The St Ives Green Tea Scrub isn't super rough and is great at keeping pimples away.

This week I went ombre so decided I should think about caring for my hair a bit more than usual...since I don't really do anything special, sorry hair! Hoping this leave in conditioner will help keep my hair looking healthy.

And finally, three new lip products. The Essence stay with me long lasting gloss in 'kiss kiss kiss', Revlon's 'Pink Liptember' fundraiser lipstick and Essence's 'All About Cupcake' lipstick. Again, I'm going to redirect you to my other post if you wanted more info...click here, blah blah blah.

Thanks so much for reading and I hope you are having a brilliant weekend. What have you brought this month and is there anything you think I should buy next month?

Cheers

A week of haulin'

Hi guys, I'm breaking from my normal routine of posting one enormous haul at the end of each month because there are a lot of sales and bargains out there and there is no point in telling you about them after they're ended...

As some of you will probably know Priceline has 50% of Maybelline products at the moment, which I think is pretty brilliant to be honest! 50% off!!! How could I not buy anything? Also, earlier in the week I had an appointment which I thought was at 9am but it was (apparently) 10am which meant I had a whole hour to kill and guess what...Priceline was a two minute walk away. Pretty easy to guess what happened then isn't it? So anyway without further ado, let's see what I hauled this week.

From Priceline:
  • Maybelline Dream BB Cream with 2% Salicylic Acid was $15.95, currently $7.97
This has been advertised on TV lately and I had no intentions of buying it because 1) I don't need another BB cream, and, 2) I already have two and I barely ever wear them because at heart I'm really a foundation kinda gal. However on twitter somebody likened it to an asian bb cream and we all know how all the beauty gurus obsess over those so I had to try it and the 50% off sale was the perfect excuse.

  • Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Barely Branded, was $11.95, currently $5.97
I tried these when they first came out and thought they were okay, but since I don't wear eyeshadow on a daily basis I have never really felt the need to buy more...but recently I have been wanting to wear eyeshadow more and have liked the idea of wearing a swipe of white-ish eyeshadow just to make my eyes look bigger and to make them "pop". I've heard so many great things about this colour, barely branded, that I decided I might as well get it. I love how pigmented these eyeshadows and their longevity is great.
  • Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Inked In Pink, was $11.95, currently $5.97
This one also worked it's way into my basket because as I said before I have been thinking about wearing more eyeshadow and perhaps a light pink might give my lids a nice wash of colour? And at this price I couldn't say no! It is such a gorgeous pink and I absolutely love it. Nope I haven't worn it yet...but just looking at it makes me adore it. That's not weird is it? I mean...it is pretty!

  • Face of Australia (Limited Edition) Budge Proof Eyeshadow in Bronze Sphinx, $8.95 (I think)
I've learnt from past experiences to always snap up limited edition items when you see them otherwise you will annoyed at yourself when you go back and find out they are all sold out! This looks incredibly like the Maybelline color tattoos, I will be interested to see how they compare.

  • Maybelline Color Show Sequins Nail Polish Collection in Sea-quins, was $5.95, currently $2.97
Teal is my favourite colour and this polish looks gorgeous. Not much "thinking" went into this purchase, I just thought it was a beautiful colour!

  • Essence Stay with Me longlasting lip gloss in kiss kiss kiss, $3.50
I really like these longlasting lip glosses from essence, they're cheap and feel lovely on the lips. They are a little sticky but I prefer this over the feeling of their other glosses (the XXL Shine) which are not sticky at all. I don't like bold lips so red lipstick is out of the question for me but perhaps this will be a suitable substitute?

  • Essence Lipstick in All About Cupcake, $3.50
Not much to say, saw this and thought it was a nice colour.

  • Sukin Cream Cleanser, was $9.99, currently $7.99
My holy grail cleanser (which contains parabens) is nearly finished and I have decided I want to swap to a cleanser without parabens so I thought I would give this a go.

From My Chemist Warehouse:

There was a display filled with these adorable tins and as I got closer...I realised they were filled with lip balms :o I think these were around $8 and I totally didn't need these but the tin was too adorable for me to leave in the shop!

Revlon has teamed up with Liptember and created a fantastic range of lipsticks that sell for $9.99 or was it $9.97? Something like that. I've always wanted to try a Revlon lippy but the price tag had been scaring me off. I'm super happy with this purchase because 1) the funds go to raise awareness for mental health and 2) it's gorgeous and a bargain.

So after typing all that up I am feeling a bit guilty.............that is a lot of purchases in one week! But overall I am really happy with everything and can't wait to start using it all. If you have had your eye on any products from Maybelline I would definitely recommend paying a visit to Priceline while they have their 50% off sale.

Thanks for reading, cheers
