New Maybelline products on Australian Shelves | February 2017

There has been a flood of new products landing on the shelves in Australian "drugstores". Today I am tackling all the new releases from Maybelline.

Maybelline have launched their Color jolt Intense Lip Paints. There are 8 shades which vary from nude to purple, so everybody should be able to find a colour they like. These remind me of the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks as they have similar sponge-tip applicators. I picked up the nude and the pink shade, so you can expect to see a review on those soon.

Maybelline have jumped on the cushion foundation bandwagon and now have a "dream cushion liquid compact foundation" available in 6 shade. My Chemist currently has 35% of Maybelline face products so if you're interested in trying it out, you could pop down there.

Maybelline have a double-ended contour/highlight jumbo crayon product and two new strobing sticks. The Master strobing sticks come in 100 light and 200 beige.

The Bricks Bronzer and Highlighter is also a new  product. It's the powder palette you can see below and includes a matte bronzer with a highlighter.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments below what you are most excited about!

New Products on the Shelf in Australia

New products have hit the shelves in a big way. So lets skip the unnecessary ramble which I usually begin posts with and dig into all the new goodies! There are a lot of new products from Maybelline, Australis and two new limited edition collections from Essence.

When this foundation originally launched in America everybody on Youtube seemed to rave about it. I am definitely interested in giving this one a shot!

Australis have new cream blushes and lip glosses. I actually picked up one of the lip glosses and they are very thick. If you're not a fan of glosses this one might not be for you. The pigmentation was nice though! The blushes look gorgeous don't they?

The first limited edition collection from Essence that is currently on the Priceline shelves is 'Winter Wonderful'. Ignore the random matt touch blush...I don't think that is part of the new collection. BUT there is a gorgeous blush that is included in the collection, keep scrolling to see a pic. This range is beautiful! It includes 5 nail polishes, a blush, two lip oils, eyeshadow palette, hand cream, cajole eye liner and hair accessories.

I picked this blush up and since I have not owned it for 24 hours yet, I can't give a full review. But, having said that, I can say that it has really good pigmentation. I went a bit too heavy handed with it this morning! It gives the cheeks a lovely rosy flush.

The second limited edition from Essence is 'light of orient'. This collection included lots of deep and moody colours and is available at Target. The eyeshadow palette looks gorgeous and obviously lots of other people thought so too since it was sold out!

Essence also have some new products in their permanent collection:

What are you excited to see? Let me know in the comments what you want to pick up and what doesn't float your boat.

The Balm AND Sleek Make-up now stocked at Target Australia - overview and pictures

Hey guys! Just a quick post today because there is some very exciting news floating around at the moment and I wanted to give you some more information on it...Two new beauty brands are being stocked at Target Australia now: The Balm and Sleek.

Sleek are well known for their eyeshadow palettes, contour duos and blushes.

Eyeshadow palettes $19.95
True Colour Lipsticks $16.95
Eye & Cheek Palette $24.95

The above prices were discovered by squinting at the photos I took, sorry I couldn't make out all of the prices!

Here are some photographs of the new displays at my local Target and an overview of the products stocked. I hope you enjoy this snapshot!!! I am super excited, are you?

And now for The Balm, unlike Sleek who has never been available in-store in Australia before, The Balm has been available at David Jones. However that doesn't lessen my excitement at being able to find them at Target, nonetheless a Target I could practically walk to! The Balm's highlighters (Mary-Lou Manizer, Betty Lou Manizer and Cindy Lou Manizer) are well loved by many and who can resist the cheeky packaging of their Nude 'tude eyeshadow palettes? I use their Argyle Instain blush and adore it - these 'Instain' blushes are insanely pigmented and long lasting. Definitely worth trying, just don't forget to apply them sparingly so you don't look like a 2 year old has done your make-up.

How gorgeous is that Manizer palette?! and I adore the 'In theBalm of your Hand' palette, such a nice way to taste a little bit of everything from The Balm!

What products are you most excited about? I would love to know :) And if there are "must have" products feel free to comment below!

Cheers

Hi guys, today I wanted to tell you about some new products that have been hitting the shelves lately. A new skincare range from Skin Theory has launched in Amcal and Guardian pharmacies, Burt's Bees have released lip crayons and Nyx has increased the amount of products they stock here in Australia, we now receive their entire product line.

Skin Theory is a range of skincare stocked in Amcal and Guardian pharmacies. With prices starting from $3 the range is hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested. Below is a list of some the products in the range and how much they cost.
  • Skin Theory Cosmetics Wipes 25 Pack $3
  • Skin Theory Exfoliating Polish 80ml $10

  • Skin Theory Eye Cream with CoQ10 - 15ml $12

If you have been reading my blog for awhile you will probably already know this, I LOVE LIP CRAYONS! So I am very excited that one of my favourite lip balm brands, Burt's Bees, has now released a range of lip crayons. With 100% natural ingredients, they contain shea butter to hydrate and moisturise your dry lips and  Kendi and Jojoba oils to leave your lips feeling soft and smooth. There is no need to sharpen these lip crayons as you can just twist them up - yay!!! The formula is creamy, matte and provides full coverage colour for your lips. They come in six different shades: Sedona Sands, Redwood Forest, Niagara Overlook, Carolina Coast, Hawaiian Smoulder and Napa Vineyard.

Carolina Coast, Hawaiian Smoulder, Napa Vineyard

Niagara Overlook, Redwood Forest, Sedona Sands

You can find these at selected Myer stores for $16.95.

Target is now stocking the complete Nyx product line. This means that not only do we get some of the classic Nyx products that our friends over in America adore but we also get some of the new products. I am particularly excited about the Butter Lipsticks!

What are you the most excited to see?

Thanks for reading,
cheers :)

New Products in July

I've spotted a heap of new products at the shops lately so thought I would share my discoveries with you!

1. Sally Hansen 'Color Frenzy' Limited Edition Nail Polish Collection
2. Face of Australia 'Dark Side' Limited Edition Nail Polish Collection
3. Nyx Turn the Cheek Palette
4. Essence Dark Romance Trend Edition
5. Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation & Concealer
6. Maybelline Street Artists Topcoat Nail Polishes
7. Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments
8. Garnier Moisture Match Creams

That is a long list of new goodies so there is no time for rambling. Lets get into it!

The Sally Hansen 'Color Frenzy' collection of nail polish consists of 6 glitter toppers in clear bases.

'Red, White & Hue' consists of red, white and blue hexagon glitters in a clear base.

Fruit Spritz has medium sized hexagonal glitters in pastel green, yellow, pink and orange that are matte, as well as some holographic silver glitters.

Spark & Pepper silver holographic shredded glitter and black and white matte hexagonal glitters.

Sea Salt has silver holographic shredded glitter, fine gold glitter and small matte blue and green hexagonal glitters.

Candy Drops has different sized matte pink and silver holographic hexagonal glitters.

The final polish from this collection is called Splattered. Unfortunately I didn't manage to get a photo of this one but is comprised of different sized matte pink and black hexagonal glitters, red bar glitters and gold shredded glitters.

Face of Australia also has a limited edition collection of polishes out at the moment. Called 'Dark Side', it is inspired by villains. I have 'Voldemort' and 'Maleficent' from this collection and love them. Voldemort is my favourite out of the two polishes I own from this collection because not only is a reference to Harry Potter (Harry Potter fan here!) but the matte glitters are very dense and easy to apply. Sadly I only got one good photo of 4 of the polishes. Sorry! You can see the full collection here: http://www.faceofaustralia.com.au/products/limited-editions/dark-side-nail-enamel.aspx

The polishes in the collection are called: Darth Vader, Voldemort, Mystique, Wicked Witch of The West, Maleficent, Jafar, Magneto and Ursula.

There is also a palette from Nyx called 'Turn the Cheek"

Essence has a new trend edition on the shelves at the moment called "Dark Romance'.

At the Maybelline stand there were lots of new products! Is it only me or is Maybelline releasing some pretty awesome products this year? New on the shelves are the Superstay Better Skin Foundation and the Superstay Better Skin concealer. The foundation costs $21.95 and the concealer costs $14.95. The premise behind this foundation and concealer is that it is going to reduce redness in the skin, clear imperfections and hydrate the skin as it contains actyl-c formula (derivative of vitamin c), magnesium, zinc, copper ad vitamin B5+. I have read some really good reviews on it and can see myself purchasing this in the near future.

Maybelline has finally released their Street Artist collection of glitter toppers in Australia. To be honest I think I would have been a bit more excited if they did it last year. The polishes look good but I already have a lot of glitter toppers I barely use!

The Color Tattoo Pure Pigment Eye shadows are also gracing our shelves now! They cost $11.95 and come in 6 colours.

And finally, in the skincare aisle of Priceline my eyes landed on the Garnier Moisture Match moisturisers. At $9.99 there are four different types: mattifying fresh cream, illuminating light lotion, light softening cream and ultra-hydrating rich cream.

Phew! That is a lot of new products :) This is a ridiculously long post so I'm going to shut up now. I hope you enjoyed this post. Cheers :)
